Sierra Trail Paws is an off-leash dog hiking service based in Reno, Nevada. Our pack hikes are designed for dogs who need more than a backyard play session or jaunt around the neighborhood sidewalks.
It’s hard to give your dogs the exercise and mental stimulation they need every day. Walks take time. Driving to a fun, off-leash trail takes time. Meeting other nice doggos your pup can get along with and hike off-leash with…takes time! Whether you’re working, taking care of family, or just handling what life throws at you, there are only so many hours in a day. That’s why we started Sierra Trail Paws to help.
Our off-leash dog hikes offer exercise, enrichment and socialization for well-trained and well-socialized dogs who deserve the best life possible on four legs. They are given the freedom to explore (within eyesight of course!), form friendships, build confidence, and they come home happily tired.
We keep our groups small and carefully vetted so every pup gets to run, sniff, and socialize safely on Reno’s local trails.

We offer a convenient pick-up and drop-off service for clients who live within the city of Reno.
Long Hikes
Our hikes are about 5 miles so that your dog gets the exercise they need to relax when they’re spending time with you.
Small, Vetted Pack
We take up to 5 dogs out per session so your doggo can socialize without getting overwhelmed.
Off-Leash Fun
Our dog hikes are off-leash so pups get the exercise, play and stimulation they need.
How it works
From your initial sign-up to your dog’s first hike, we’ve designed a simple screening process to ensure a safe and enjoyable off-leash hiking experience for every pack member.

Interview with us
We have a smooth, easy interview process to make sure we’re a good fit for your pup. Start with our online questionnaire and graduate to a brief in-person meeting and, lastly, send your pup on a short trial hike with us!
Join the pack
Once you’re in, you can choose what days you’d like us to hike with your pup each week! Each hike is $60 for 4-6 miles (including pick-up, drop-off, and treats). Discounts available. Exact times vary by season.
